　　Siemens has newly launched the Siwarex DB digital junction box for the weighing field, featuring a robust housing with IP66 protection rating, easily integrated into the SIMATIC environment. This digital junction box further expands Siemens' weighing product portfolio, seamlessly integrating with the system to ensure more comprehensive collection and monitoring of the operating status of each analog weighing sensor than ever before. It can be used for targeted weighing process control as well as extended diagnostics, with any fault information clearly displayed via SIMATIC controllers and HMIs.

　　The seamless integration of Siemens control systems and Siwarex WP weighing electronic modules allows for real-time diagnostics of weighing sensors, enabling quick and convenient equipment maintenance and significantly reducing downtime. The weighing modules operate precisely to prevent inaccurate or incorrect measurement results, ensuring full transparency of equipment status. Each digital junction box can connect weighing systems of up to 4 weighing sensors, offering flexible use and stable, safe operation. Additionally, a new feature of this digital junction box is the individual monitoring of each connected weighing sensor. For example, faults such as disconnection or overload of each sensor can be directly identified, simplifying system maintenance; it can completely replace a multimeter and is widely applicable in industrial weighing fields such as level monitoring, silo or container weighing.

　　The Siwarex WP231 weighing module connects directly to the SIMATIC S7-1200 via backplane communication. For distributed SIMATIC ET 200SP systems, the Siwarex WP321 weighing module is recommended. The seamless integration between Siwarex and SIMATIC significantly reduces commissioning effort. If adjustment of the installation height of the weighing sensor is required during commissioning, the Siwarex WP weighing module can be used to immediately view the operating status of each weighing sensor.

　　Using Siemens digital junction boxes also allows for easy retrofitting of existing plants. If a similar analog junction box is already used on site, it can be very conveniently replaced with a Siwarex DB digital junction box of the same size and connected to the original cables without modifying the normal operating procedures of the weighing electronic modules and SIMATIC.
