Siemens launches a new servo drive system for mid-to-high-end applications

With the perfect combination of Simotics S-1FK2 motor and Sinamics S210 drive, Siemens has launched a brand new servo drive system with 5 power ratings ( 50-750 W ) motors. The motor and drive are connected via Profinet to the upper-level controller, and commissioning is simplified with the help of Webserver and one-button optimization. Through Simotics servo motors, small loads can achieve high dynamic and high precision motion. The motor is connected to the drive via " single cable ( OCC ) ”与驱动器相连。 Sinamics S210 The drive integrates powerful safety features and enables fast engineering configuration. The new drive system can be applied in packaging, handling and gripping, woodworking, ceramics processing, and digital printing fields.
Sinamics S210 The drive focuses on high dynamic motor shaft control. The drive uses integrated Webserver commissioning and can automatically optimize control parameters to meet different dynamic performance requirements with the one-button optimization function. Integrated safety features include STO (Safe Torque Off) and SS1 (Safe Stop 1 ). STO and SS1 can both be executed via PROFIsafe , and STO can also be started via terminals; other functions are currently under preparation. Based on Sinamics S210 the drive's fast sampling and intelligent control algorithms, high-precision encoder system, low rotor inertia, and high overload capacity combination, the servo drive system achieves outstanding dynamic performance and precision.
Simotics S-1FK2 The motor and drive are connected with OCC cables, where the power cable, encoder signal cable, and brake cable share an ultra-fine cable (diameter only 9 mm , with one plug). OCC The cable has a very small cross-section, thinner, lighter, and more flexible than previous cables, greatly simplifying the wiring process. Compared with traditional drag chain conductors, using compact " single cable connection ” can reduce the bending radius by nearly half. The connection plug is designed to be robust and durable, highly 25 mm rotatable, and easy to operate. This servo drive system features user-friendly self-locking plugs and front-positioned, easy-to-maintain and disassemble push-in terminals, making wiring extremely simple.
