British media: China will become the world's largest robot country in 2017

2020-04-18

Reuters recently reported that the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) in February 5 released a report stating that due to the strong promotion of automation in automobile and electronics factories, 2017 by the year, the number of robots used in Chinese factories will surpass any other country.

Currently, although China is already the world's largest robot market, its robot density is far behind other more industrialized countries.

In China's manufacturing industry, there are only 30 robots per 10,000 workers, while the numbers for South Korea, Japan, Germany, and the United States are 437 , 323 , 282 , and 152 robots respectively.

IFR It is expected that as major global automobile manufacturers compete to build factories in China, coupled with the erosion of China's labor market competitiveness due to rising wages, 2017 by the year, the stock of industrial robots in China will increase more than 1 times to 42.8 ten thousand units.

IFR Secretary Gudrun Litzenberger said: " Companies will be forced to increase investment in robots to improve production efficiency and product quality.

She also said: " Currently, the automotive industry is driving the development of the robotics industry, and in the future, 2 by the year, 3 it will be the electronics industry.

" Automation in Chinese manufacturing factories is just beginning, Swiss ABB robotics business leader Per Vegard Nerseth said. " In the past two to three years, China has shown explosive growth, far exceeding our expectations.
